Nabii Nabwera, Martin Wanyonyi among MPs on 7-day benchmarking trip to London
Lugari’s Nabii Nabwera and Webuye East’s Martin Wanyonyi are part of a delegation of Members of the National Assembly on a benchmarking and diplomatic trip to London in the United Kingdom.
Tindi Mwale of Butere and Titus Khamala of Lurambi are also among the 12 MPs on the trip, according to Shaphan More, who is in charge of Lugari MP’s media and communication relations.
The delegation will mark the tour by visiting the House of Commons, the Chamber of the Speaker of the House of Commons, and the Kenyan Embassy, More said.
Mr. More added that the team is there to represent the August House, although the details of the diplomatic mission are yet to be shared and that Mr. Nabwera, on his personal duty, will be pitching for partners to advance his agenda for the people of Lugari Constituency.
Hon. Nabwera, who mesmerized at Westminster, which he called London’s equivalent of Kenya’s iconic Uhuru Park, wrote on his Facebook page that they are in the UK “to represent our nation, Kenya, on matters of utmost importance.”
“This visit holds tremendous potential as I seek to enlist the support of partners and collaborators who can join forces with me to ameliorate the socio-economic landscape of Lugari, our cherished constituency,” he said.
“I will use my visit here to pitch for individuals and organizations who share our zealous drive to effect positive change in Lugari.”
