Kibabii University comrades are excited after the recent modification on the students’ portal allows them to pay school fees directly from M-Pesa.
The portal has been advancing with new features that allows a student to pay their fees with the click of a button without necessarily depositing through the bank as it was before.
Of more benefit is that the fee paid reflects immediately, beating the old system that used to take hours before reflecting and led to students missing exams during rush periods.
Students would make long queues at the bank and outside the finance office just waiting to pay fees.
“Actually, I have tried with Sh10 and it reflected immediately; that’s great work,” Bryan Mahaso, a comrade, commented on a Facebook post.
“Now we will be giving our parents portal passwords to pay through the portal; there is no need to go to the bank,” another one, Manzi wa Mkisii, said.
