Titus Kwoma accuses Governor Barasa of undermining young MCAs

Chekalini MCA Titus Kwoma has once again publicly criticized Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, accusing him of undermining and misguiding young leaders.

Speaking during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Friends Secondary School Lukhokho Girls in Lugari Constituency, Kwoma alleged that the county boss is “destroying vibrant young minds,” particularly singling out youthful Members of County Assembly (MCAs) as the most affected.

Kwoma, a fierce critic of Barasa, claimed that instead of nurturing and empowering emerging leaders, the governor is misusing their potential and failing to offer proper guidance and opportunities. He argued that this approach risks weakening the future leadership of the county.

In addition to his concerns about youth leadership, Kwoma accused Governor Barasa of failing to fulfill key campaign promises made to the residents of Kakamega. He alleged that the administration is misleading the public while falling short on development expectations.

The remarks are likely to intensify political debate in the county, especially among young leaders and local stakeholders, as questions emerge over governance, accountability, and the role of youth in leadership.

Governor Barasa had not immediately responded to the claims at the time of publication.
