Residents of Maji Mazuri Village in Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County, have woken up to the shocking news of a caretaker who was found hacked to death this morning.
According to witnesses who spoke to the Western Kenya Times, the man, identified as Wellington Ndiema Bwuzu, was found lying in a village path near a sugarcane plantation, his head severely injured by a crude weapon, suspected to be a panga.

“The man looks after property at the home of a local teacher and he must have been attacked at night. His body is lying near where he works, ” Maina, a neighbor of the place where the man works, said.
Lugari Location Chief Evans Adavaji has confirmed the incident and said it is suspected murder.

“Some names of suspects have been mentioned but we are waiting for the DCI and police,” he said.
Residents are now calling upon relevant authorities to beef up security in the area.
