Lugari MP Ayub Savula has promised to build 100-bed capacity health centers in each ward if elected Kakamega County Governor.
Savula, who has embarked on a rigorous campaign to woo voters, has said that this is his initiative to ‘redesign healthcare quality improvements in Kakamega County’.
“Improvement in the quality of healthcare will only be achieved if the county administration is committed to expanding and fully equipping health facilities,” he said in his campaign rally in Shikoti Market in Butsotsio Ward, Luambi Constituency.
The lawmaker, while rallying voters in Mumias, also promised to push for the revival of the Mumias Sugar Company factory.
“I intend to push for the operationalization of the Mumias Sugar Company to spur the development of the service sector around the factory and change the village employment structure, hence improving the socioeconomic fabric of farmers,” he said.
The legislator, who intends to vie under the DAP-K party ticket, will be facing off with his rival from the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Cleophas Malala.
This comes a few weeks after Azimio la Umoja (an umbrella of DAP-K) presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga endorsed former KETRACO CEO Fernandez Barasa.
