Arsenal F.C. have been crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions, ending a 22-year wait for the English top-flight title after rivals Manchester City F.C. dropped crucial points on Tuesday night.
The Gunners sealed the title after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by A.F.C. Bournemouth, leaving Arsenal uncatchable at the top of the table with one match remaining in the season.
It marks Arsenal’s first league triumph since the historic 2003/04 “Invincibles” campaign under former manager Arsène Wenger. The title is also the first Premier League crown for manager Mikel Arteta, who has transformed the North London side into consistent title challengers in recent years.
Arsenal’s march to the title was built on disciplined defending, attacking consistency and strong performances against top sides throughout the campaign. Their crucial 1-0 victory over Burnley earlier in the week increased pressure on Manchester City before Bournemouth’s draw confirmed the Gunners as champions.
Celebrations erupted across North London moments after the final whistle, with supporters gathering outside the Emirates Stadium to celebrate the club’s long-awaited success. Players and coaching staff were also seen celebrating at Arsenal’s training ground after confirmation of the title victory.
The triumph hands Arsenal their 14th English top-flight title and their fourth Premier League trophy since the competition was formed in 1992. It also cements Arteta’s place in the club’s modern history after years spent rebuilding the squad into one of Europe’s strongest sides.
