A buffalo popularly nicknamed “Donald Trump” due to its unusual appearance has drawn widespread public attention after reports emerged that it is set to be slaughtered during upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The animal became a social media sensation after videos and photos showing its golden-colored hair and distinctive look circulated online. Many people said the buffalo’s appearance closely resembled that of US President Donald Trump, earning it the now-viral nickname.
Residents reportedly flocked to see the buffalo, with crowds gathering daily to take pictures and record videos of the animal. Its owner said the buffalo had become well-known in the community because of its rare features and calm behavior.
According to reports, the owner took special care of the animal as its popularity continued to grow online. However, despite the attention, the buffalo is reportedly still expected to be sacrificed during Eid al-Adha, one of the most significant Islamic religious celebrations observed worldwide.
Eid al-Adha involves the ritual slaughter of livestock in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God. The meat is typically shared among family members, friends and those in need.
