Lukhokho Girls dominate Lugari’s Matete Zone to lift volleyball title

Lukhokho Girls Secondary School have emerged as a team to watch in this year’s school games after winning the Lugari KSSSA Matete zonal volleyball championship following a strong and consistent run.

In the semi-finals, Lukhokho delivered a commanding performance against Mabuye Secondary School, sealing a straight-sets 3–0 victory to book their place in the final.

They went on to face Lwandeti DEB Secondary School, where they maintained their momentum and secured a well-earned 3–1 win to clinch the title.

School principal Metrine Wamalwa lauded the team’s discipline and determination, crediting their success to consistent effort and focus.

“Our girls are very disciplined and determined, and that is why they have produced such excellent results. We will continue putting in more effort to ensure we go even further,” she said.
