Three University of Nairobi (UoN) students have died after a boat they were riding capsized at the Mukoba Waterfront in Bundalangi on New Year’s Eve.
The three, a Sixth Year, Third Year and First Year were among seven marking the start of the New Year by fun-riding the boat.
Bunyala Sub-county police commander Isaiah Mose confirmed the incident and said that four others were rescued as the bodies of the three have yet to be retrieved.
The search for their bodies will resume today.
