A mother from Sirende Village in Lugari Ward of Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, has expressed her joy after Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera paid a full scholarship for her daughter to join Archbishop Njenga Girls Lugari High School.
Mama Violet Luganji narrated how he approached the MP after she lacked means to pay fees for her daughter Daisy Nanjala who scored 361 marks in KCPE 2022.
“I was worried, I was almost giving up when something came to my mind. I remembered how our area MP said that if any learner performs well, he will be in a position to help them proceed with their education. I approached him at his home and he offered to pay for my daughter a full four-year scholarship at Bishop Njenga Girls,” the elated mother said.
In a video seen by the Western Kenya Times, a visibly overjoyed Mama Violet mentioned the MP as a humble leader who listens to his people.
“Thank you Mheshimiwa Nabii Nabwera for what you did to me, everything is sorted, God bless you,” she said.
She seized the opportunity to thank all leaders assisting students from vulnerable families continue with their education.
