Boost for small scale traders in Kakamega as county government disburses Sh13.3m

The program is geared towards empowering residents economically as Governor Barasa’s pillar on wealth creation.

Micro, small and medium enterprises traders in Kakamega County have a reason to smile after the county government disbursed Sh13.3 million meant to scale up entrepreneurship.

The county will also train women, people with disabilities and youths on how to invest in businesses and make use of the county fund geared towards empowering them economically as announced by Governor Fernandes Barasa during a meeting with small scale traders on Monday.

The programme also focuses on realizing Governor Ferndnades Barasa’s pillar on wealth creation built on the ultimate vision of the Kakamega County Microfinance Agency to have an established bank.

This program is among the strategies put in place by Governor Barasa’s administration to ensure realization of the pillar of wealth creation for the people of Kakamega County. The ultimate vision of the Kakamega County Microfinance Agency is to have an established bank.
