Bungoma boy who scored 418 marks appeals for help to join secondary school

The boy lives in a single-room mud house with his family

A boy from Mt. Elgon Constituency in Bungoma County, who scored 418 marks in the recently released KCPE 2021, is appealing for help to join secondary school.

Michael Kiprotich from Kapkeke Primary School in Kapteny Ward comes from a family devastated by poverty and is stranded, now calling upon people of goodwill to help him continue with his studies.

“My parents are not able to take me to the school of my choice due to a high level of poverty, ” the little boy told West FM.

The boy hails from a family of eight, with some siblings in national schools and universities.

“I am a father of six, some are in university and some are in high school some in primary I may not be able to take my son to the school of his choice I call upon the well-wishers to come to my aid” his father Isaac Mandela said.

Kiprotich’s teachers acknowledge that he is an industrious boy who needs support to reach his potential.
