CS Wamalwa’s mother tells DP Ruto to respect her son

Ruto’s sparked uproar after calling CS Wamalwa a “woman”.

Defense Cabinet Secretary Eugine Wamalwa’s mother, Justina Siti, has come to the defense of her son and asked DP Ruto to respect “other people’s children”.

This comes amid uproar all over the country after DP Ruto called CS Wamalwa a “woman” after the CS claimed that Ruto wanted to slap him in the past.

Ms. Siti told journalists in Kitale that it was very painful for Dr. Ruto to refer to his son as a woman, challenging Ruto to come out clearly and explain what transpired between him and the Defense CS.

Justina Siti said she gave birth to a son and DP Ruto calling him a “woman” is an offense to her family and the entire Luhya community.

“The time my son was working with DP Ruto in 2013 and 2017, he was a man, but after shifting his support towards Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, he has become a woman. If it was Ruto’s mother, by whom her son was being abused and referred to, she could have felt the way I am feeling,’’ said a bitter Justina.

She asked the Deputy President’s wife, Rachael Ruto, to tell her husband to respect other people’s children.

She went on to call upon the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to wake up from “sleep” and deal with the kind of leaders who are capable of dividing Kenyans.

Yesterday, residents of Kitale held demos to protest against DP Ruto’s controversial utterances.
