Kimilili woman accuses boyfriend of abandoning her during after giving birth until child died

A woman identified as Liz Naliaka has gone viral on TikTok after sharing an emotional and distressing account of how she was abandoned by her boyfriend and family during and after pregnancy, leading to immense suffering and the tragic death of her baby.

In a video posted on her TikTok page, @liznaliaka2, Naliaka lashes out at a man named John, accusing him of neglect and cruelty.

“John, you are trash! You are a fool! You are a pig! Can you imagine? This man got me pregnant and later told me he wasn’t ready to be a father. He even wanted me to abort,” she cried in the viral video.

According to her narration, she refused to terminate the pregnancy and decided to raise the child alone. But life quickly became unbearable. She recounted delivering her baby at Kimilili District Hospital without any financial support or visitors.

“I had no one to help me. I had no 5,000 shillings for the hospital bills. They told me to leave because other mothers were coming in to give birth. I was discharged without even cotton for the baby,” she said tearfully.

Naliaka described surviving on leftovers she collected from bins during pregnancy and being forced to leave the hospital without paying her bill of Sh8,000. After giving birth, she struggled to pay rent and afford food. Neighbors occasionally helped, but she said the support could only last for so long.

Her efforts to seek refuge at her sister’s home ended in rejection. “My sister was in school and lived with our father, who never liked me since childhood. I was forced to leave again,” she narrated.

Naliaka later met a woman who offered her a job selling samosas for KSh 150 a day, with only breakfast provided. She endured the hardship while breastfeeding, often sleeping hungry.

Her pain deepened when her child, at just four months old, fell sick. She said doctors initially dismissed it as pneumonia, but the situation worsened.

“One day, I ran with my baby to a hospital called Grassroot. They demanded payment first. My child’s eyes were rolling. I had no help. My baby died,” she sobbed.

The distraught mother said the baby, named Nehema, was admitted on the 29th and passed away shortly after. Only then did some family members show up to settle hospital bills.

In a painful conclusion, Naliaka lashed out again at her ex, accusing him of hypocrisy for showing concern after the child’s death.

“Now this man wants to see my baby. He’s in the grave! You are so evil. Maybe if you were in my life, the child would be alive,” she said.

Her story has sparked widespread reactions online, with many expressing sympathy for her and condemning the alleged neglect.
