Kakamega County Public Service Board has announced 150 job vacancies spread across 26 different positions, offering opportunities in the Departments of Health Services, Social Services, and Public Service and County Administration.
In a notice issued on September 26, the Board invited applications from qualified and competent candidates to fill the advertised positions in line with the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and the County Governments Act, No. 17 of 2012.
The Department of Health Services accounts for the majority of the openings, with 143 slots in various medical and technical fields. These include 18 positions for medical officers, 24 for pharmaceutical technologists, 16 for health records and information officers, 10 for public health officers, and several slots for nurses, laboratory technologists, nutritionists, radiographers, and other specialists.
The Department of Social Services, Youth, Sports, Gender, and Culture has three vacancies, while the Department of Public Service and County Administration has four positions, including Sports Assistant III and Community Administrator III.
How to apply
According to the County Public Service Board, applications for all positions except Community Administrator must be submitted online via the Kakamega County website (www.kakamega.go.ke) under the “Job Offers” section. The deadline for submission is Friday, October 10, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
Applications for the Community Administrator role will be received manually, with detailed instructions available on the website. The Board stressed that emailed applications will not be considered.

The County Government has cautioned applicants against fraudulent activity, noting that it does not use agents or charge any fees during recruitment.
