The Lugari Constituency NG-CDF bursary application for the financial year 2021/2022 is ongoing and the deadline for application has been set for April 8, 2022, at 5.00 PM.

Apart from development, the NG CDF Act of 2015 requires that a maximum of 35 percent of the annual allocation goes towards Education Bursary to support needy students.

The constituency received an allocation of KShs 137, 088, 879 in the 2021/2022 financial year, meaning a maximum of about KShs 48 million will go to the education bursary kitty.

Lugari received the same allocation in the financial year 2020/2021 and 2019/2020.

Students in tertiary institutions, universities, colleges, and secondary schools are encouraged to apply for the kitty that is supposed to come in for more than 250 learners in the constituency.

Application forms, which have application instructions, can be collected at the CDF office in Lumakanda, chiefs’ offices in all locations and in cybers.

The vetting will comprise the NG-CDF representative, chief and assistant chief, ward administrator, sub-county education office representative, NGO, and parliamentary office representatives.

According to the Lugari CDF website, committee members are Aggrey Jeremirah Wekesa as chairman and Carolyne Nasimiyu Kinarah, Justo Lijodi Imbai, Beatrice Shirandula, Clement Abaya Ominde, Jacob Murunga and Georgina Muronji Wasilwa as members.
