Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera is set to unveil newly constructed classroom facilities today, marking another milestone in his ongoing Ondoa Matope initiative aimed at transforming education infrastructure across the constituency.

The MP will officially open three modern classrooms at Mautuma DEB Comprehensive School and an eight-classroom storey building at Lucho Comprehensive School, where he will also issue bursaries during the event to support learners in need.

Construction of another storey classroom block is ongoing at Mwivona Comprehensive School as part of the initiative, which aims to replace muddy and temporary structures with permanent learning facilities.

The planned activities follow a weekend of engagements that included meetings with students, teachers, and parents. On Friday, the MP commissioned a new dormitory at St. Mary’s Comprehensive School and attended the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Immaculate Heart Secondary School in Mautuma Ward alongside local education officials.

On Saturday, he participated in the AGM of Friends Secondary School Chenjeni in Chevaywa Ward and donated uniforms to village managers. He called for the formal recognition and regular remuneration of village managers for their role in community leadership.

On Sunday, he joined students and teachers of Immaculate Heart Secondary School for an academic breakfast. He addressed the learners on discipline and focus, pledged to cover half of their remedial tuition fees, and donated reams of paper to each student.

The MP also joined residents at St. Francis Majengo Primary School to celebrate Madaraka Day, marking Kenya’s self-rule. In his address, he urged residents to protect public resources, promote accountability, and work towards a self-reliant and prosperous Lugari.
