A middle-aged man from Kiminini Constituency in Trans Nzoia was on Friday found dead after disappearing for a number of days.
The man, identified as Geoffrey Muyundo, a mechanic from Chalicha Village in Sikhendu Ward, has been living alone since his wife left years ago.
He was discovered dead in his house by his brother.
His mother, Florence Wesusi, told the media that he grew awry after his son’s routine of checking on her before going and after coming from work suddenly changed.
Solomon Mulongo, the area village elder, confirmed the incident, which he reported to the area chief and the Sikhendu Police Station.
The body of the deceased is lying at St. Michael’s mortuary in Kiminini Cottage Hospital as investigations continue.
