St. Augustine’s Mlimani: 35 score university entry grades as meanscore shoots up

The school is among those that performed well in KCSE 2021.

St. Augustine Mlimani in Mautuma Ward, Lugari Sub-County, is boasting of a positive deviation after recording good results in the recently released KCSE 2021.

The school had the first student score a B+ (plus) as 35 out of 141 scored C+ (plus) or above and therefore secured a direct chance to attend universities.

St. Augustine had a mean of 5.354 compared to 4.949 last year, a positive deviation of 0.406. The school had a candidature of 158 last year.

Omuka Ali, who topped his class, said he wants to be a nurse in future and is proud of his teachers and community for standing with him.

“For sure, teachers and the community at large have been a great boost to my achievement. I want to be a nurse in the future,” he said.

Senior teacher Mr. Moses Mutoro said the school is rising to be among the best in the region thanks to its good results.

“For now, we are promoted to a county school, meaning our efforts are paying off. We must work extra hard to show that that position fits us, “he said.
