Fifteen schools in Bungoma County have this morning failed to pick exam papers as the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Examination Assessment (KEPSEA) for Grade Six kicks off.
Bungoma South DCC Duncan Okwach said that schools that failed to pick the exams are mostly private schools, some having been closed by the Ministry for not being complaint with requirements.
Bridge School Kibabii, Jamia Primary School and Gateway Primary School are some of the institutions that failed to pick their exams.
“I am happy that the exams have started on a high note, we have not experienced any challenges, the police officers are on the watch out to ensure that all the exam guidelines are adhered to,” Mr. Okwach said during a briefing with the media at Bungoma DEB Primary School.
