The teaching fraternity in Kakamega County is mourning the death of Stella Makokha, a teacher at Museno School who died this morning following a miscarriage.
Reports indicate Ms. Makokha’s conditions deteriorated after suffering the miscarriage, and she eventually died at the Agha Khan Hospital in Kisumu.
The Mathematics and Business Studies teacher, who had served Museno School for three years, had been married for six years without success, and this was her second miscarriage.
She had sought permission from the school, only to succumb to the complications a few weeks later.
The teacher recently graduated with a master’s degree.
Her burial has been scheduled for Friday, June 30, 2023, at her home in Shibuli, along the Kakamega-Mumias highway.
