A 42-year-old mother of two from Sinai Village in Mautuma Ward, Lugari Constituency, is appealing for urgent support after strong winds tore off the iron sheets of her house, leaving her family exposed.
Everlyne Adego says the incident, which occurred a few days ago, has left her living in unsafe conditions, with no means to repair the damaged structure.
“I don’t have a job and I am just staying at home. I now sleep in an unsafe place because my house was damaged—the iron sheets were blown away, and the condition of the house itself is not good,” she told WKT.
Adego, who is currently unemployed and residing at her rural home, says the situation is especially difficult as she struggles to provide for her family. Her two daughters are both in Form Four this year, adding to the pressure as she seeks stability during a crucial period in their education.
She is now calling on leaders and well-wishers to support her in rebuilding the house so she can secure a safe living environment for her children.
Adego noted that even small contributions could make a significant difference, appealing for assistance to purchase at least 12 iron sheets to help restore the roof and protect her family from the elements.
