Relief and gratitude have filled a family in Munyuki Village in Lumakanda Ward, Lugari Constituency, Kakamega, after their missing kin, Rose Namukhosi, was found safe in Baringo County after going missing for four months.
Rose, who had been reported missing on November 30, 2025 after she was last seen heading to church, had sparked concern among relatives and the wider community. The family had appealed to the public for help in tracing her whereabouts, noting that she understands only Kiswahili and has a hearing impairment.
In an update shared with the public by WKT, the family confirmed that Rose was found in Baringo County and is in good health.
According to the information provided by his son, William Mkash, a Good Samaritan—described as a woman from Baringo—took Rose in and cared for her during the time she was away from home. The woman later facilitated her safe return to her family.
Rose has since been reunited with her relatives in Lumakanda, bringing an end to the anxious search.
Her family, including siblings Jane Mamai, Judith Mamai, and Moses Mamai, expressed heartfelt gratitude to members of the public and media platforms that helped amplify the search.
“We thank everyone who supported us and helped share the information. She has been found safe,” William told WKT.
