Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Al Nassr to their first Saudi Pro League title in seven years after scoring twice in a dominant 4-1 victory over Damac on the final day of the season.
The Portuguese superstar delivered a captain’s performance at Al Awwal Park in Riyadh, helping Al Nassr edge rivals Al Hilal to the 2025/26 league crown. The triumph marked Ronaldo’s first domestic league title since joining the Saudi giants in late 2022.
Former Liverpool forward Sadio Mané opened the scoring for Al Nassr in the first half before ex-Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman doubled the lead shortly after the break. Damac briefly threatened a comeback after Morlaye Sylla converted from the penalty spot, but Ronaldo quickly restored control with a superb free-kick before adding a second goal late in the match to seal the victory.
The win saw Al Nassr finish the season with 86 points, two ahead of Al Hilal, who also won their final match but fell short in the title race. It was Al Nassr’s first Saudi Pro League championship since 2019 and ended Ronaldo’s long wait for silverware in Saudi Arabia.
Emotions ran high after the final whistle as Ronaldo celebrated with teammates and supporters, with several reports showing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in tears while lifting the trophy.
The 41-year-old finished the season among the league’s top scorers, continuing his remarkable impact since moving to the Middle East.
