President William Ruto has recorded 45.1 per cent in the latest Politrack Africa presidential preference survey, with Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna emerging as his closest challenger at 19.6 per cent.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka follows with 10.3 percent, while former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua record 7.2 percent and 6.0 percent, respectively. Another 8.4 percent of respondents were undecided.
Other candidates polled below two per cent, including George Wajackoyah at 1.1 per cent, Martha Karua and David Maraga at 0.8 per cent each, James Orengo at 0.4 per cent, and Jimmy Wanjigi at 0.3 per cent.
At the party level, Ruto’s UDA leads with 32 percent, followed by the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) at 11.7 percent and ODM at 10.6 percent.
The survey was conducted between September 15 and 25, 2026, among 20,419 respondents across Kenya. Politrack reports a margin of error of ±3 percentage points at a 95 percent confidence level. The figures are a snapshot of preferences during the fieldwork period, not an election result or forecast.
