Kenyan comedian and digital content creator Alvin Oduor, popularly known as Mluo, has found himself at the center of a social media storm following a bitter public fallout with his former girlfriend, fellow content creator Belle.
The drama unfolded after Belle took to social media to share screenshots of alleged WhatsApp conversations, voice notes and a series of claims about their relationship. According to her, she decided to make the information public after allegations emerged online portraying her as the one responsible for the breakup.
Among the leaked conversations are messages Belle claims show Mluo admitting to cheating during their relationship. She also shared voice recordings that she alleges capture the comedian apologizing for his conduct.
Beyond the claims of infidelity, Belle accused Mluo of emotional manipulation and attempting to tarnish her reputation after the relationship ended. She alleged that he contacted people within her professional circles in a move she believes was intended to damage her image and affect her brand partnerships.
The dispute also spilled over into an argument over Belle’s personal belongings. She claimed that after sending someone to collect her items from Mluo’s residence, the situation turned confrontational, with disagreements arising during the handover. The incident has since become another point of discussion among social media users.
Belle blames herself
Despite leveling several accusations against her former partner, Belle admitted she was not entirely without fault. In a candid post, she acknowledged remaining in what she described as an unhealthy relationship for longer than she should have, saying she had ignored warning signs because of the emotional attachment she had developed.
As the revelations continued to emerge, the controversy quickly dominated conversations across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and X. Kenyans have remained sharply divided, with some expressing support for Belle’s decision to speak publicly about her experience, while others have questioned the wisdom of airing private relationship matters on social media.
The online frenzy has also seen internet users resurface some of Mluo’s old videos and public remarks, with many attempting to connect them to the current allegations. The clips have further fueled debate and kept the comedian among the country’s top trending personalities.
At the time of publication, Mluo had not issued a comprehensive public response addressing the latest allegations shared by his former girlfriend.
