AFC Leopards down Murang’a SEAL to cut Gor Mahia’s lead at the top

AFC Leopards boosted their FKF Premier League title hopes with a solid 2-0 victory over Murang’a SEAL in a closely contested match played on Sunday.

After a cagey first half that ended goalless, Ingwe returned from the break with renewed purpose, taking control of the game and eventually breaking the deadlock in the 53rd minute.

Forward Hassan Beja found the back of the net to give Leopards the lead, before sealing the win with a second goal in the 82nd minute.

Murang’a SEAL showed early promise but struggled to convert their chances, particularly in the opening half where both sides found it difficult to create clear-cut opportunities. Leopards’ disciplined approach and improved attacking play in the second half ultimately proved decisive.

The victory sees AFC Leopards narrow the gap at the top of the table to just two points behind league leaders Gor Mahia, setting up a tense title race as the season edges closer to its conclusion.

With momentum firmly on their side, Leopards will be aiming to maintain their winning form in the remaining fixtures, while Murang’a SEAL will be looking to regroup after another disappointing result.
