Clement Bwoyi has been re-elected as the Panpaper Market Chairperson in Lugari Ward, Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County, after emerging unopposed in an election held on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Bwoyi secured 224 votes in the exercise conducted at Panpaper Market, with traders turning up in large numbers to participate in what was described as a peaceful and orderly process.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with WKT, the re-elected chairperson expressed gratitude to the business community for the confidence they have placed in his leadership.

“I’m truly happy about the trust these people have shown in me. I promise to work diligently and protect their rights,” he said.
Bwoyi noted that Panpaper Market is experiencing rapid growth and urged the Kakamega County Government to support traders by issuing a market code. He explained that such a move would enable traders to pay taxes more efficiently and access government services and related benefits.
He also highlighted waste management as a pressing challenge, calling on the county government to establish a dumping site to address the issue.
At the same time, Bwoyi commended Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera for supporting the market through key development initiatives, including the drilling of a borehole and the construction of a modern market facility.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with local leaders to improve the welfare of traders and create a more conducive business environment at Panpaper Market.
