Body of Bungoma woman missing for 25 days found at Webuye morgue

The body of a 32-year-old woman from Bungoma County who had been missing for nearly a month has been found at the Webuye Morgue, as detectives intensify investigations into her death.

Abigael Nafula Ogara, a mother and daughter from Kimilili, was reported missing on April 29, 2026, after she was last seen in Gilgil, Nakuru County. Her family had been searching for her for weeks before her body was eventually traced to the morgue in Webuye.

A postmortem examination conducted on the body confirmed that Nafula died as a result of strangulation.

Her partner, Major Boniface Simiyu, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer attached to Kenyatta Barracks in Gilgil, has been named as the prime suspect in the case after reportedly being the last person seen with her before she disappeared.

The suspect has not yet been arrested.

The family has called for swift action from authorities, demanding justice for their loved one.
