Archbishop Njenga Girls will represent Lugari Sub-County in the county level of the KSSSA 2026 girls’ football tournament after beating Talant School Musembe 5-2 in an entertaining and high-tempo final played this afternoon at Panpaper Grounds.
The champions enjoyed an impressive campaign throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten and showcasing discipline, teamwork, and attacking brilliance on their way to victory.
Speaking after the match, the tournament’s top scorer, Hildah Natecho, said the team is determined to go even further and fly Kenya’s flag at the regional stage.
“Our target is to reach the East African level and proudly represent Kenya. We are fully prepared for the challenge ahead,” she said.
The school’s games master and head coach, Makokha Isaiah, praised his players for their commitment and vowed that the team would remain focused as they prepare for tougher competition ahead.
“This year, we are not going to sit back and relax. We want to assure our school management that we will not let them down. We are ready to hit the road and come back home with a trophy,” he told WKT.
