A Lugari-based pastor is counting losses running into thousands of shillings after strong winds destroyed his house, uprooted trees, and damaged crops on his farm.
Reverend Joseph Logose says the incident occurred on Monday evening when strong winds accompanied by light rainfall swept through the area, blowing off about 50 iron sheets from his house. The winds also damaged his kitchen and uprooted several trees.
“I have lost over KSh 100,000. My land has been destroyed, and I have nothing to show for it. I had planted beans, but a tree fell on the crops and destroyed them,” Logose told WKT.
He says his life has now been disrupted and that he has to start all over again, as almost everything he owned was destroyed in the incident.
Logose hails from Kisangura-Muviki Village, Mukuyu Sub-Location, Mautuma Ward, Lugari Constituency, Kakamega County.
He has appealed to well-wishers and other people of goodwill to come to his aid so that he can rebuild his home and restore his livelihood.
