Bungoma pastor claims Jesus took him to heaven and offered him a seat

A pastor from Bungoma County has stirred debate after claiming that Jesus Christ took him to heaven and offered him a seat during a series of spiritual encounters spanning more than 30 years.

Zinaba Titus Zakayo Ingana, a preacher from Ndivisi village and founder of Firmword Ministries Worldwide, says he has experienced multiple visions in which he interacted directly with Christ. He describes the encounters as deeply transformative moments that have shaped both his personal faith and ministry.

According to Ingana, one of the most striking experiences occurred at around 3 a.m. while he was in prayer. He claims he heard a voice calling him, saying, “Come, let’s go,” before being transported beyond the earth and planetary system.

He alleges that he was taken to a celestial body he described as about a third the size of Earth, with only two mountains. From there, he says he was led to another realm filled with intense light, “like the sun,” where he saw three seats.

Ingana claims one of the seats was occupied by a powerful presence radiating intense heat, while another was taken by a figure he estimated to be around 1,400 years old. He says he was offered the remaining seat.

“I could not understand who sat there, but the power that was emanating was like heat,” he said, adding that the central figure appeared and disappeared intermittently.

He later concluded, he says, that the central figure was Jesus Christ. Ingana further claims that during this experience, his physical body on earth was lifeless for approximately five hours.

The pastor maintains that these encounters were vivid and real, reinforcing his belief in a personal relationship with God and providing what he describes as divine revelations over the years.

His claims have since drawn mixed reactions from the public and religious circles. Some believers have expressed curiosity and openness to his testimony, while others have questioned its authenticity and urged caution when evaluating such extraordinary assertions.

The account adds to a broader pattern of controversial religious claims in Kenya, which often attract both devoted followers and skepticism in equal measure.
