Salasya says secret DNA test revealed he is not biological father of one child

Peter Salasya has claimed that a private DNA test revealed he is not the biological father of one of his children, in remarks that have stirred widespread public discussion.

The outspoken legislator said he conducted the test discreetly and was shocked by the outcome, which challenged his long-held belief about the child’s paternity. He did not disclose further details about when the test was carried out or the circumstances that led him to seek it.

The claims have not been independently verified, although he shared  on his Facebook page a photo of what he claims was the results of the paternity test.

Salasya’s revelation comes amid growing use of DNA testing in Kenya, particularly in resolving paternity disputes. Experts note that such tests are highly accurate and are increasingly being used by individuals seeking clarity in personal and family matters.

While private DNA tests can provide personal answers, legal experts emphasize that only court-approved tests are admissible in formal proceedings such as child support or inheritance cases.
