Charlene wore an elegant white bridal gown with floral details, long sleeves, and a flowing veil, while Yunge wore a white double-breasted suit paired with black trousers.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula was among the leaders who congratulated the newlyweds, wishing them a fulfilling marriage built on love, wisdom, and understanding.

The wedding follows the couple’s traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, popularly known as Koito, held on August 8, 2026, at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.

Yunge, a Tanzanian entrepreneur with interests in technology and youth empowerment, has kept a relatively low public profile, while Charlene has been active in youth leadership, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and climate action initiatives.

The wedding marks a new chapter for the couple, bringing together two families from neighboring East African countries.
