Tension has been reported in Ebukholo Village, Esibuye, Emuhaya, Vihiga County, after four houses belonging to one family were torched and crops destroyed in a suspected revenge attack.
The incident is reportedly linked to an ongoing land dispute involving a family whose homestead is associated with a suspect in the investigation into the disappearance and death of Wilson Mukuna.
Mukuna was allegedly abducted last Wednesday before his body was reportedly discovered in River Yala on Thursday, sparking anger and heightened tensions in the area.

The destruction of property is suspected to have been carried out in retaliation over the incident, although the circumstances surrounding the attack and the identities of those responsible remain unclear.
Police are investigating three alleged abduction incidents in Emuhaya, in which two victims were later found dead in River Yala while another remains missing. Emuhaya Sub-County Police Commander George Opere Ongozi confirmed the incidents, saying investigations were ongoing.

The latest incidents come amid growing concerns over insecurity and escalating tensions in Emuhaya following reports of abductions and deaths in the area.
Residents have been demanding answers over the disappearances, while police have been investigating the cases, with at least one suspect reportedly arrested.
