Linda Mwananchi leader Edwin Sifuna is the third most preferred presidential candidate behind President William Ruto and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in a new opinion poll.
A recent poll by Research 8020 had placed Sifuna neck and neck with President William Ruto, with other opposition figures, including Kalonzo, trailing far behind.
However, a new survey by Swiss Poll International puts Sifuna at 17.6%, behind Ruto, who leads with 40.2%, and Kalonzo, who commands 19.7%.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua ranks fourth with 7.5%, followed by former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i at 6.0% and Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro at 4.5%.
Other candidates collectively account for 1.2%, while 3.3% of respondents remain undecided.
Sifuna’s showing comes as he seeks to build a political movement around the Linda Mwananchi platform, which has attracted attention amid growing debate over opposition leadership and strategy ahead of the next election.
