Tension gripped Mabanga area in Bukembe West, Bungoma County, after mourners staged a revenge attack on a man suspected of murder, leaving two houses torched.

The chaotic incident unfolded when a group of mourners stormed the home of the suspect, accusing him of killing their relative. In the ensuing confrontation, the man was reportedly beaten before being forcefully removed from his house. The mob then set fire to his home and that of his mother, reducing both to ashes.
