Police in Vihiga County have arrested a 24-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband following a dispute over KSh 30 debt.
The suspect, identified as Eunice Nanzala, is alleged to have attacked her 28-year-old husband at their home in Chanzuvu village, Wamuluma-Lugaga Ward.
According to preliminary police reports, the altercation began after Nanzala handed her husband a KSh 50 note to pay for phone charging at a nearby centre, which cost KSh 20. However, the husband reportedly failed to return the remaining KSh 30, sparking a disagreement between the two.
The argument is said to have escalated into a physical confrontation, during which Nanzala allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed her husband.
The man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities have since taken the suspect into custody as investigations into the incident continue.
