President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda is no longer in Covid-19 danger a week after going into ICU after the condition intensified.
His brother Shadrack Kaguta said the 78-year-old Head of State has resumed work and will undergo a final Covid-19 test on Thursday.
“The President is already out of danger. I happened to get in touch with him yesterday on the phone and he told me he is okay and just observing the standard operating procedures from the Ministry of Health as he waits for the final test probably on Thursday this week,” he said as quoted by Daily Monitor.
Kaguta added that Musevei, who has served Uganda for 37 years, has started his normal duties “like handling some paperwork while in isolation.”
Kaguta said this during a national prayer service held in Kampala to ask God to heal the President.
