St. Mary’s Mumias Girls’ High School marked its 50 years of existence through a colorful ceremony on Wednesday.
The event, attended by local leaders including Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, was presided over by Rt. Rev. Joseph Obanyi Sagwe, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega.
Founded with a vision to provide young women with exceptional education, empower them to become leaders and change-makers in their communities, the school has risen to be one of the most impactful institutions in the country.
“Since then, this school has been a beacon of knowledge, nurturing generations of students who have gone on to achieve remarkable accomplishments in various fields,” the Governor posted on his Facebook page.
