Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera says he is ready to die defending the Constitution, just like any other leader in the Azimio coalition.
The MP, during a debate at TV47 last evening, dismissed the claim by his opponent in the debate, Bomet East MP Richard Yegon, that they should have permission from police before conducting any protests and said that is not what is written in the Constitution.
“Some of us are not going to accept anyone suspending this constitution. We are willing to die, you can kill all of us,” he said.
The MP gave an example in which he said they were matching the streets with around 500 people with their own security guards to ensure nobody caused chaos but were still teargassed by the police.
He went on to say that even Idi Amin and Adolf Hitler were ruthless and killed many people but still left power.
