A man in Vihiga County, identified as James Mutonyi, is on the run after allegedly stabbing his lover to death in a suspected love triangle.
The incident occurred following an altercation at a pub, with Mutonyi accused of repeatedly stabbing the woman before fleeing.
Angry residents reacted by destroying Mutonyi’s house and killing a cow.
Authorities have cautioned against vigilantism and are investigating the matter.
This tragic event is the latest in a series of similar incidents in the area.
The victim’s body has been sent for autopsy, and police are actively pursuing the fugitive suspect, James Mutonyi.
