Two students expected to sit for their KCPE exams in March are nursing serious injuries after engaging in a physical altercation over a man.
The 16-year-old minors are said to have started fighting in class on Saturday over a local Disk Jockey (DJ).
One of the pupils is said to have triggered the fight by attacking her classmate with a hoe, leaving severe injuries on her face. The opponent then retaliated by cutting her attacker on the arm with a knife.
The girls are being detained at Kizingitini Police Station in Lamu as investigations are underway. The DJ has since gone into hiding.
