Stolen property with an estimated value of Sh800,000 was found hidden in a sugarcane plantation in Mwamba, Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County.
The possessions, belonging to Hudson Mandu Isigi, were stolen on Friday night when burglars broke into his son’s house and made away with a microwave, fridge, TV set, gas cylinder, clothing, and various other valuables.
“Upon reporting the incident, residents informed me that the stolen items had been located hidden in my neighbor’s sugarcane farm,” stated Mr. Mandu.
Mr. Mandu suspects that the thieves, overwhelmed by the volume of items, opted to stash them away for retrieval on a subsequent night.
Local residents are urging security agencies to escalate night patrols to address the escalating incidents of theft.

I thank the villagers for informing the authorities. Culprits will now be afraid.
Good work for WKT updating us.
