A student of Webuye TVC was reportedly stabbed during a late-night altercation on Saturday involving a group of friends believed to have been drinking together.
According to eyewitness accounts, the incident involved a woman who is said to be his friend’s girlfriend and a close friend of another woman living in the same residential plot as the victim. The situation escalated after a disagreement broke out among the group, allegedly fueled by alcohol.
It is reported that the victim, described by those who know him as calm and non-confrontational, stepped in to defend one of the women identified as Hildah after a quarrel erupted between her and another individual.
During the confrontation, the woman allegedly turned on the man and stabbed him in the leg. Sources insist the incident was not related to infidelity, dismissing earlier speculation.
Witnesses attributed the violence to intoxication, stating that several individuals involved had been drinking heavily prior to the altercation.
The injured man was later attended to, though details about his condition remain unclear. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
