Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has presided over a function to celebrate the best candidate in Western Kenya in the just-released KCPE 2021.
Charity Buyanzi Kwoma of Holy Family Misikhu Girls in Kimilili Sub-County emerged the best in the region, third overall, and the first in public schools nantionwide after scoring 426 marks.
The governor hosted Charity at his office in Bungoma town, a function that was attended by citizens and county officials.
“I have today hosted the young, brilliant, Charity Buyanzi Kwoma from Misikhu Girls primary school, who emerged the best 3rd pupil Nationally and the best overall in public schools in this year’s KCPE exams.
I wish to commend Misikhu Girls primary school fraternity and all education stakeholders for taking advantage of the enabling environment provided by my Administration to ensure that our children receive the best possible tuition to achieve their dream results.
Congratulations to all other candidates in Bungoma County who posted impressive results,” the Governor wrote on his Facebook page.
The first candidate in the exams dominated by private schools scored 428 marks.
