A man in Shirere Village in the outskirts of Kakamega town is nursing injuries after he was mobbed for allegedly strangling his wife of four years to death in a love triangle.
Edwin Misango alias Dudu Mbaya, a mkokoteni opearator, is said to have attacked his wife, Lydia Kachiti, 22, after she had blocked him from entering their one-roomed with another woman.
It is said a quarrel ensued before the man decided to strangle his wife, who was also found with deep cuts on her legs.
Kakamega Central Deputy OCPD, Daniel Mgubu, and area assistant chief, Phanice Atchienza, confirmed the incident and said bhang was seized from the suspect’s house.
The man is receiving treatment at Kakamega General Hospital as the body of the deceased lies at Kakamega County Referral Hospital.
