First Bungoma East MP’s body found dumped in his farm after going missing

He disappeared for 12 days before his body was found dumped.

The first Member of Parliament of the then Bungoma East Constituency, Mark Barasa, has been found dead under unclear circumstances.

Mr. Barasa went missing on Friday, December 16, 2022, and his mutilated body was discovered dumped in his Ndalu farm in Tongaren Constituency on Wednesday, according to his family.

According to the family, the late former MP, 98, vanished while going to Chesamisi in Kimilili Constituency to his other home.

The family has been thoroughly searching for him for the last 12 days.

Mzee Barasa was the first Bungoma East MP, which lied in the now Webuye West, Webuye East, Kimilili, and Tongaren constituencies between 1963 and 1969.
