A woman in Endebess Sub-county in Trans Nzoia County succumbed to injuries inflicted on her behinds after she was allegedly scalded by her younger lover.
Alex Chemwantei Cheboron, 27, has been arrested and is in police custody after he allegedly inflicted severe burn injuries on Nancy Chelimo, 43, which led to her death.
Alex is accused of using a hot metal on Nancy’s behinds where they lived in Nyakoingwana village, a case that was reported by the village elder to Salama Police Post on Friday after neighbors raised the alarm over the incident that happened on February 27 last week.
Nancy succumbed to her injuries on Friday, March 3, from the burn injuries, according to a police report.
Her body was moved to the Kitale County Hospital awaiting postmortem, as the suspect is held at the Endebess Police Station assisting with the investigation and will be arraigned in court today.
