Families in Matisi Ward of Trans Nzoia County were left with a smile after their Member of the County Assembly, Obed Mwale Mahanga, donated gas cylinders to 700 women.
The MCA, as part of his initiative to scale up his program to modernize households in the ward one at a time, said he decided to gift women gas cylinders to reduce the use of wood fuel.
This is one of the pledges the MCA made during the election campaign, in which he promised to introduce the “Ondoa Moshi” program that’ll see every homestead empowered with a gas cylinder.
“In the Spirit of fulfilling my promises to the Great women of Matisi Ward. I have today issued 700 gas cookers to women across the ward. Ondoa Moshi initiative will ensure that each house hold within Matisi is modernized,” he said.
